Supportive Clinical Supervision for CSWAs in Oregon

The transition from grad school to working in the field as a counselor is a big change and comes with unique challenges. As a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA), you're developing clinical skills, professional identity, and confidence while navigating complex client situations. I believe that clinical supervision is such an important part of therapist development.

I personally remember the feeling of being thrown off the deep end into community mental health after completing my MSW. Having experienced supervisors to bring my concerns, questions, and discuss clinical interventions made all the difference in growing my abilities and confidence overtime.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Oregon. I provide virtual clinical supervision for CSWAs to help you grow as a clinician and develop your therapeutic skills, whether you’re just starting out or are getting close to licensure. My work as a Clinical Supervisor is informed by 7 years of post-grad experience working as therapist with adults in agency, group, and private practice settings.

My Approach to Supervision

A wooden desk with a notebook and red pen, surrounded by houseplants including a snake plant and pothos, with a wicker basket, books, and a computer partially visible in the background.

My supervision style is collaborative, supportive, and reflective, while giving direct and honest feedback to support your work. My goal is to create a space where supervisees feel comfortable asking questions, discussing challenges, exploring clinical decision-making, and identifying areas for growth without fear of judgment.

My clinical work is largely informed by:

  • EMDR Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Polyvagal Theory

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Somatic and nervous system-informed interventions

I encourage supervisees to develop their own clinical voice while strengthening their therapeutic skills, ethical decision-making, and confidence as mental health professionals.

Areas of Focus

Supervision may include discussion of:
